Turtles must know they’re onto a good thing by choosing the beach outside our hotel to rest and lay their eggs. Now we can fly and flop here too!

Laid-back and unspoiled, Tobago is a treat for the discerning traveller looking aside from some of her more lively Caribbean counterparts.

That’s not to say that music and rhythm don’t reverberate on the island. Sunday nights are legendary in Buccoo. Don’t expect to take a bible to this ‘Sunday School’, as it’s affectionately known! This ‘school’ is actually the weekly festival of local steel bands in Scarborough, pushing through to the wee small hours with funky music, dancing and streets lined with stalls, selling all types of crafts and snacks.
