Medieval Banquet

Come live like Lords and Ladies and feast your eyes on a medieval show, including a four-course dinner, red wine, mead and much merriment.

Summer Banquets - 4 June & 10 September
Solo’s private tables are reserved as we join in the festivities of 1539. Here’s the scene: the Abbot and his Provost have thrown open the doors of the Abbey and have invited the local peasants to come for a meal - ‘a feast fit for a king!’

As the feast progresses, we are entertained throughout. The story jumps forward to 1595, when the De Clapper Family is in residence at Coombe Abbey. They have a vast repertoire of bawdy ballads, which they delight in singing in between courses. After the final course, they are joined by the Ladies of the Court for a fine programme of songs, aires...
