Our hotel resides in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge and overlooks the gorge itself. Finished in 1779, it was the first ever bridge of its kind to be constructed and as a result Darby’s iron bridge became a masterpiece of the industrial age, and a monument to the industry that began here.

Whilst we might be forever indebted to the coal-mining industry, we’re pleased to say that the views are now far more picturesque, with the rocky gorge and green surrounds punctuated by the famous bridge spanning the majestic River Severn, Britain’s longest river.
