Who Can Travel with Solos?
We like to think that all are welcome, but as a guide, we consider a single traveller to be someone who is unable to travel with a partner but who may choose to book on their own, with friends or adult family members as part of a wider group.
Your Solos Tour Leader
The Solos Tour Leader is like no other - not just a ‘rep’, but a companion who travels with the group, normally from the very start of your holiday or event to when you wave goodbye to your new-found friends at the end of your Solos experience. Our Tour Leaders understand exactly what you want to get from your trip, as many actually started off as Solos customers themselves. They have a complex, responsible role and work behind the scenes to ensure everything goes smoothly, whilst blending in with the group to ensure everybody is happy and getting the most from their Solos experience. It’s worth noting that on evenings where meals are not included, you don’t have to dine alone as your Tour Leader will make suggestions of places for the group to eat together if they wish. We are extremely proud of our Tour Leaders who we believe to be the best in the business and many of whom have been with Solos for years.
Age Bands
Age is just a number...however we recognise that some of our customers prefer to travel with people around their own age. Unlike other operators, we will suggest age ranges for most of our departures and you will find the symbols below displayed throughout the brochure. The age bands we use should be interpreted as a guide as it is our intention not to exclude anyone simply because of their age. We make no guarantee that all passengers on any particular holiday, break or event will fall precisely into these bands and we will exercise discretion to maintain a sensible mix.

Ladies & Gentlemen
We will always endeavour to achieve a reasonable balance of women to men on all our holidays, breaks and events, but unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed. In our experience, ladies tend to book earlier than men but, to help us achieve a reasonable ratio, and to avoid ladies having to be placed on a wait list, we would encourage gentlemen not to leave booking late.

They say that variety is the spice of life and this can be said of the eclectic mix of people who book with Solos. Most people come to us because they don’t wish to travel or attend a social event on their own.
