Join us for a fun-packed Solos 60s weekend. Take
in the sights of historic Liverpool along with a
visit to ‘The Beatles Story’, where musical magic
is relived on an atmospheric journey into the life,
times, culture and music of the Fab Four.
We meet on Friday for a welcome drink and a
leisurely evening meal, before our light-hearted
after-dinner 60s quiz to set the scene for the
After a hearty breakfast, we depart by coach to
central Liverpool and head to the historic Albert
Dock, the first of 2 sites home to the ‘The Beatles
Story’. Discover how 4 young Scousers were
propelled to the dizzy heights of worldwide fame
and fortune to become arguably the greatest
band of all time. Hear the story unfold through
the ‘Living History’ audio guide, narrated by
John Lennon’s sister, whilst admiring original
instruments and memorabilia.
It’s then a short walk to ‘The Beatles Story’ Pier
Head, the second site close to the Royal Liver
Building. Based in a state-of-the-art theatre
the Fab4D experience takes us on a groovy trip
through the music of The Beatles. You’ll meet all
manner of characters as the magic of 4D brings
the music of the greatest band of all time to life.
After our visit, perhaps pose for a photo outside
the famous Cavern Club or take a scenic ferry
across the Mersey. Feeling in the mood for a
cultural afternoon? Why not head to the Tate
Gallery or the area around William Brown Street,
known as the city’s ‘Cultural Quarter’, or simply
hit the city’s numerous shops and boutiques?
Later we can dance the night away at our
