About this holiday

Croatia is now one of Europe’s most popular destinations with a sparkling coastline, UNESCO World Heritage sites and a blossoming food and wine scene.

Sights of Split and beyond

Based for the first 4 nights in Trogir, we enjoy this World Heritage Town on a day trip known for its beautiful architecture and mazelike streets as well as the archaeological sites of Salona .

In Split we can soak up the atmosphere in this lively coastal city including the spectacular ruins of the Diocletian Palace, before delving into the maze of tiny streets to explore in our own time.

Wine making in Croatia dates back hundreds of years and Croatia now produces up to 700 different wines, some of which are award winners. We visit one of the local vineyards for a wine tasting and lunch.

Narona & The Neretva Valley

Our route south towards Dubrovnik a traditional river boat cruise along the Neretva River, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant that serves Dalmatian and Neretva specialities.

Destination Dubrovnik

George Bernard Shaw once said “Those who seek paradise should come to Dubrovnik.” Nestled between the Adriatic and the Dinaric Alps, this tranquil, medieval city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our sightseeing tour here includes the Rector’s Palace (used for filming of the TV series Game of Thrones), and the Franciscan Monastery with its old pharmacy.

Our final day is spent relaxing around the on a boatrip to the gorgeous Elafiti Islands, which lie off the coast from Dubrovnik.
