Stay in a traditional English Seaside town
Free bar from 6pm - 10pm
This is the ideal weekend getaway to get you into the festive spirit staying at a firm favourite Solos hotel. We base ourselves in the traditional seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare and head in to Bath for a day out including a guided walking tour of this historic city followed by time spent at the popular Bath Christmas market. It is an extra-special time in Bath when the streets are alive with glittering lights, seasonal revellers and the annual Christmas Market. What better way to enjoy this enchanting city than in the company of your fellow Solos guests!
Check-in at your hotel. When evening comes, we can enjoy a welcome drink with other Solos guests before dinner in the hotel restaurant followed by evening entertainment.
After breakfast we head to the picturesque city of Bath where we include a guided walking tour showcasing its ancient Roman history, followed by time to do that all important seasonal shopping. You’ll find numerous traditional wooden chalets offering ‘real’ Christmas shopping with all the retailers selling unique, hand crafted items many of which are made in the area. Said to be the most beautiful Christmas market in the south west, everything from festive food and drink to decorations and unique gifts are on sale between the quaint streets of Bath’s stunning medieval abbey and the Roman Baths. Strolling players, carol singers and street entertainers all accompanied with the aromas of mulled wine and cinnamon create a magical atmosphere to help us get into the festive spirit. The market recreates the ambience of a magical Christmas past.
On Monday after checking out, you may like to spend some time wandering around Weston and the local area before heading home.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides and hotel staff (including restaurant, kitchen and reception staff) of approximately £5. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of bar staff and housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (the rounding up of the drinks bill and a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, restaurants expect a 10% gratuity (do check that service has not already been added to your bill). For taxis 10% of the metered fare.
