Welcome to fabulous Norway! Upon arrival we will transfer to our hotel in Bergen. When evening comes, we can enjoy a welcome drink with other Solos guests before having dinner at the hotel. Overnight Bergen

  • MEALS Dinner included

After breakfast we will set off on a 3-hour guided city tour of Bergen which takes us past many of the great sights in this wonderful city, including famous Bryggen and the wooden houses. Bergen is probably one of the most recognisable destinations in the whole of Norway thanks to its unique, colourful architecture and historic harbour. After our city tour we will visit the famous Bergen’s Fish Market, which is one of the town's most famous spots. Here you can take a walk along the bustling market and check out the fresh culinary treasures from the sea. As the name would suggest, the stalls in the market mainly sell fish, but you can also buy fruit, vegetables, handcrafted objects and souvenirs. Later we will proceed to the Bergenhus Fortress which is located in the very centre of Bergen and is one of the oldest and best preserved fortresses in Norway. The afternoon is free for you to spend how you wish. Overnight Bergen.

Useful Information

Transfer time
The transfer time between Bergen Airport and the hotel Scandic Ørnen is approximately 40 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff of minimum £15.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.

Included programme
A Guided walking 3-hour tour of Bergen is included in your touring package.

Dress code
The dress code for during the day is casual. In the evenings the dress code is smart with gentlemen requested to wear a shirt and tie. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended.
