This is the ideal weekend getaway to get you into the festive spirit staying at a firm favourite Solos hotel. We base ourselves in the traditional seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare and head in to Bristol for a day out including a guided walking tour of this beautiful city followed by time spent at the popular Bristol Christmas market. It is an extra-special time in Bristol when the streets are alive with glittering lights, seasonal revellers and the annual Christmas Market. What better way to enjoy this exciting city than in the company of your fellow Solos guests!

What you'll be doing

DAY 1

Arrive in Weston Super Mare

Check-in at your hotel. When evening comes, we can enjoy a welcome drink with other Solos guests before dinner in the hotel restaurant followed by evening entertainment.

DAY 2

Bath & Christmas Market

After breakfast we will explore Bristol with a guided tour. Bristol has a long and fascinating history from its beginnings in Saxon times up to the present day. Hidden among the modern streets are gems from Medieval, Georgian and Victorian times. This tour will be followed by time to do that all important seasonal shopping. Located in the very heart of Bristol City Centre, the Christmas market is home to over 40 unique stalls where you’ll find an array of traders selling seasonal delights, crafts and unique items which are perfect for those hunting for that special Christmas gift. There will also be a wide range of delicious food available, from traditional Bratwurst to crepes, churros and plenty of sweet treats!

On Monday after checking out, you may like to spend some time wandering around Weston and the local area before heading home.

The New Ocean Hotel 2*

This great family-run hotel is situated opposite Weston’s famous Marine Lake and offers panoramic views over Weston Bay and beyond. It is just a few minutes stroll to the town centre where we can enjoy the numerous shops, theatres and attractions. Weston–Super–Mare Railway Station is approximately a 10 minute taxi journey away. There are approximately 20 car parking spaces and these are allocated on a first come first served basis. There is also additional parking on the road and a long stay car park situated 250m away which is £3 per 24 hours.

Facilities Include

Enjoy the many facilities on offer including a large dance floor and a nightly entertainment programme in the bar/lounge area with a fully stocked bar. Wifi is available in the bar/lounge area and is provided free of charge.

Room Includes

All rooms are equipped with full en-suite facilities, direct dial telephones, flat screen digital televisions and hairdryers. Many also have level access from the lift.
