Passengers are welcome to board the ship at 18:00. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you'll be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail meeting. Tonight's dinner will have an Austrian flair.

Join  an optional guided tour of Vienna, passing through the Christmas market located in front of the city hall. The afternoon will be spent cruising towards Budapest.

Join an optional guided tour of Budapest. This amazing city is separated by the Danube into two entities: Buda on one side with its hills and valleys, and Pest on the other with its flat expanse offering such a wonderful panoramic view of the Danube that it was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Enjoy some free time this afternoon. This evening is spent  sailing towards Bratislava as you enjoy onboard entertainment.

The morning will be spent cruising, reaching Bratislava in the afternoon. Join an optional guided tour of the Slovakian capital and discover its Christmas market. Tonight is the gala dinner and evening. The ship will start sailing towards Vienna this evening.

Built in 2009,  The MS Vivaldi sails on the Danube.

MS Vivaldi enjoys a lively and friendly atmosphere, complimented by excellent on-board facilities – enjoy views from the sun deck so wrap up and enjoy the scenery.

LOUNGE BAR 
The lounge tastefully decorated has panoramic views and spans the bow of the ship. Cocktails and games, dancing, and other forms of entertainment all happen here.

RESTAURANT
Located on the middle deck, the restaurant is where all meals are served during your cruise. It seats all guests at tables which vary in size with a panoramic view. The atmosphere is casual but elegant.

Cabins

All cabins are located above the water level and offer panoramic views of the landscape thanks to large windows or portholes (depending on the boat or deck.) They are all equipped with toilet, shower and washbasin. Towels, shower gel and shampoo are provided. They have many amenities: flat screen television, hairdryer, safe and plenty of storage space. Depending on the the ship, the cabins have 2 twin beds, a large bed or 2 separable beds. The voltage on board is 220 V. The cabins are air conditioned and have a thermostat to adjust the temperature of heating and air conditioning. The size and the configuration of the cabins vary according to the ship. Some boats have cabins specifically equipped for people with reduced mobility.

Pre-Cruise Information

All you need to know about the smooth running of your cruise is listed in your travel logbook, which you will receive before your cruise departure. It will be sent directly to you by email or by post before leaving.

It will contain the following information:

The port of embarkation / disembarkation;

Boarding tickets to be handed in when you arrive on board;

Luggage tags;
A presentation of the cruise programme;
Useful information about the cruise;
The list of proposed excursions.

Embarkation / disembarkation
Boarding and check-in on the ship is indicated on your boarding pass provided in your travel log. We ask that you respect this schedule. The ship itself is held to respect the schedules of navigation envisaged for the route, in order to respect the program of navigation throughout the cruise.

If you arrive earlier in the day, you can generally leave most of your luggage on board our ships. Your agent can also inform our ships that you will be arriving earlier, when booking.

At the end of the cruise, the landing is usually scheduled for 9:00 am for all passengers.

Personal Expenses
The prices of the cruises are "all included on board", they include full board, drinks served with meals and at the bar. You are responsible for any personal expenses outside the boat, during excursions, purchases in our shop, or drinks that you choose from our special wine list and at the bar.

How to pay on board?

CroisiEurope only accepts euros on board the boats. We do not accept sterling, US dollars or any other currency. We do not accept travelers checks on board. Make sure you get euros before boarding, which will allow you to pay for all your purchases. CroisiEurope accepts American Express, Visa and MasterCard.

Service & languages
The cruise line have a dedicated and knowledgeable staff of more than 1,600 people, whose conviviality, attentiveness and professionalism ensure that your voyage will be comfortable and pleasurable. The staff and crews speak French, English and many of them speak other major European languages as well.

Gratuities
Tipping customs vary from country to country and culture to culture, and we understand that tipping is a way for passengers to show appreciation for services, quality and attention received during the cruise. To leave a tip, please use the envelope found in your cabin your last evening on board, and place this envelope in the specially designated box in the reception area as you disembark with the understanding that tipping is entirely at your discretion.

Passport Requirements

To travel with CroisiEurope you will need to bring a valid national identity card or passport. Depending on the destination, make sure you have an up-to-date passport. This must be valid for at least six months after the date of your landing. Visas may be necessary for distant destinations.
