DAY 1

Depart Southampton, England

Arrive at Southampton Port to board ‘Anthem of the Seas’ for this amazing cruise to the beautiful Canary Islands.

Departing at 17.00 hrs, we enjoy our first afternoon/evening on board this beautiful ship as we leave the shores of England behind.

DAY 2

Day at Sea

As we sail towards our first port of call, explore our new home from home and find all the wonderful things that Anthem of the Seas has to offer. There are numerous bars and restaurants, not to mention the pool areas. Then this evening, enjoy a Broadway style show in the theatre.

DAY 3

La Coruna, Spain

La Coruna is a coastal city with a rich maritime history. Its waterfront promenade, known as the Paseo Marítimo, offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The city is also home to a number of museums, including the Domus museum, which focuses on the human body, and the Museo de Belas Artes, which houses an impressive collection of Spanish art.

Overall, La Coruna is a charming city with a lot to offer visitors, from its historic sites and cultural attractions to its beautiful beaches and outdoor activities.

Madeira (Funchal), Portugal

Madeira is a Portuguese archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean, southwest of Portugal. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, with lush green landscapes, rugged cliffs and volcanic peaks.

The main island of Madeira is also known for its vibrant capital city, Funchal – famous for its colourful markets, historic buildings and botanical gardens.

Madeira is also famous for its wine production, particularly its fortified Madeira wine. The island is home to several vineyards and wineries where visitors can sample the local wines and learn about the production process.

Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago located off the northwest coast of Africa. It is known for its unique volcanic landscapes, stunning beaches, and year-round warm weather.

One of the most famous attractions on Lanzarote is Timanfaya National Park – a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that features a lunar-like landscape of volcanic cones and lava fields. Visitors can take guided tours of the park to learn about the island’s geology and witness demonstrations of the intense heat still present beneath the surface.

The island is also known for its vibrant arts and culture scene, with numerous galleries, museums, and cultural events throughout the year.

In addition to its natural beauty, Lanzarote is also famous for its sustainable tourism practices, with strict regulations in place to protect the environment and preserve the island’s unique landscapes.

Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

Gran Canaria is known for its diverse landscapes, including sandy beaches, lush forests, and dramatic mountains.

One of the most famous attractions on Gran Canaria is the Maspalomas Dunes – a vast expanse of sand dunes that stretches along the southern coast of the island. Visitors can explore the dunes on foot, by camel, or even by taking a helicopter tour for a bird’s eye view of the stunning landscape.

Gran Canaria is also home to several charming towns and villages, such as Puerto de Mogán, known as the ‘Venice of the Canaries’ for its picturesque canals and colourful buildings. The capital city, Las Palmas, offers a mix of historic architecture, modern amenities, and a vibrant cultural scene.

The island’s interior is home to rugged mountains and deep ravines, making it a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Tenerife, Canary Islands

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands. It is known for its diverse landscapes, including sandy beaches, volcanic mountains, and lush forests.

Day at Sea

After the last few days, we now have the opportunity to relax as we sail towards our final destination – Lisbon.

Why not treat yourself to a treatment in the adult-only spa or enjoy a dip in the adult-only pool.

Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal and one of the oldest cities in Europe. It is known for its stunning architecture, historic neighbourhoods, and vibrant cultural scene. Located on the western coast of Portugal, it overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, and is built on a series of hills that offer panoramic views of the city and the River Tagus.

One of the most iconic landmarks in Lisbon is the historic district of Alfama, known for its narrow winding streets, colourful buildings, and traditional Fado music.

At Sea

As we make our way back to Southampton, try some of the activities on board.

Maybe do some shopping in the ship’s duty free shops and enjoy a coffee on the Royal Esplanade (set over two floors), and watch the world go by.

Today is our last day aboard the ‘Anthem of the Seas’.

Tonight, why not enjoy a meal in one of the speciality restaurants (you will need to pre-book and charges will apply), have a drink at the Bionic Bar and take in a show.
