Sleep under the Northern Sky! The location of our hotel in the Arctic Circle makes our destination ideal for trying to view the Northern Lights and our hotel offers Aurora Cabins, which simply put, are spectacular glass ceiling cabins offering you the opportunity to stare up at the sky all night. Our hotel also offers the opportunity to fulfill those bucket list activities you’ve always wanted to do. Our programme will include a snowmobile adventure, reindeer farm visit, husky safari, snowshoeing, Aurora camp and Aurora snowmobiling.
Our guide will teach us how to cope with these powerful machines (2 people per snowmobile), and after a full safety and driving lesson we will head out in to the wilderness. Snowmobiling through white winter scenery is a breathtaking experience that will last for a lifetime. During the day, there will be lunch by the open fire.
Duration 4 hours
We travel by car to the local reindeer farm and the local herder will introduce us to the native reindeer! At the reindeer farm we will learn interesting information about the reindeer and the life of a reindeer herder and Sámi culture. There will also be the possibility of a short reindeer sledge ride during our visit to the farm. This visit will provide another special memory for us of our time in the Arctic.
Duration 2.5 hours
Our Husky Safari will take us through the beautiful Lake Inari region! A Husky safari is a ‘must do’ experience when visiting Lapland. We will be taught how to handle the sled before heading out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull our sled through the beautiful winter scenery. Enjoy the excitement of the dogs before the start, and the serene silence once they get to do what they love – run in the snowy scenery. All the husky safaris are based on two people sharing a sled so that one guest is mushing and the other one is sitting in the sleigh. Positions will be changed halfway.
Duration: 2-3 hours
A Snowshoeing trek is the best way to see the beauty and calmness of the Nordic forests. We will head out with our guide to try and spot animal tracks in the snow and if we are lucky, spot some local wildlife. We will also be able to see the snow-covered forests in all their glory. There will be a lunch by an open fire during this gentle snowshoe walking day.
Duration: 2 hours
The Aurora Camp is the one of the highlights of our time in the Arctic. This trip takes us to a specifically chosen camp where we will try to catch sight of the northern lights. We will be comfortably seated in a sledge, pulled by a guide’s snowmobile. We can then relax in front of an open fire with warm drinks while waiting for the sky to show its magic.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Night time snowmobiling (2 people per snowmobile) is an exhilarating experience and if we are lucky we will see Northern Lights dancing in the night sky! We will head out in search of a good location, trying to spot the famous Aurora Borealis. If the Northern Lights appear, we will stop and take time to admire the show. We will also have warm drinks to keep us warm and comfortable during the activity.
Duration: 2.5 hours

All safaris start with full safety instructions. Your experienced guides will show you how to drive your snowmobile and provide you with a full safety briefing before you hit the trails. The hotel will provide thermal overalls, mittens, winter boots and helmet for the snowmobile safaris.
We recommend dressing in layers with warm, water/windproof casual wear and comfortable, warm footwear, thick socks, gloves, a warm hat, thermal underwear and sunglasses. Please note cold weather gear is provided by the hotel.
You will need to have a good level of fitness to take part in the included activities. During the snowmobile safaris there will be two people per one snowmobile and also during the husky safari, there will be two people per one sledge. Details of the schedule will be advised upon arrival taking in to account current local conditions. Sightings of the Northern Lights cannot be guaranteed.
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
