With plenty of time to discover the beauty of islands as well as relaxing on one of the lovely beaches, our new summer 2018 Sun holiday gives you the perfect combination.

The island of Paros is one of the most famous Greek islands of the Aegean Sea and it belongs to the Cyclades islands archipe…

Discover Paros

Our first night will be in Crete, before we take a ferry to our first stop; Paros. It is one of the most popular islands of Cyclades, located in the heart of the Aegean Sea; it is famous for the traditional architecture and the lovely beaches. Our hotel is located in one of the main villages of the island; Parikia. Also the capital of Paros; it is the commercial and cultural centre of the island as well as the main harbour, serving the main departure and arrival point for other islands. Built around the port and has a typical Cycladic architecture, the buildings here are whitewashed and the houses are flat roofed. On the entrance to the port, a superb whitewashed windmill welcomes visitors and is the trademark of Paros. There are numerous restaurants, taverns, cafes, bars and night clubs that line one side of the coast road, while the closest beach to our hotel is Livadia Beach. Just 700 meters from the harbour, this beach is divided into several sections from fully organised watersports to ones with sunbeds and umbrellas.

Charming Naxos

Our second island hop is to Naxos. Located between Paros and Mykonos, Naxos is the second largest island of the Cyclades. The western side has long sandy beaches lined up with seaside hotels, restaurants and water sports centres while the centre of this charming island brings visitors to traditional villages and many historical sites.

The capital of the island is Chora, also known as Naxos Town. It is one of the most beautiful Cycladic villages and boasts fine architecture as well as some Venetian elements. In the northern part of the capital a long paved road leads to where the unfinished Temple of Apollo is located. This famous gate is the trademark of the island. The closest beach to our hotel at just 5km from Naxos Town is Agios Prokopios Beach. Accessed by a local bus, it is considered one the most popular beaches on the island. The long golden sand extends over 1.5km and has beautiful crystalline waters. Part of the beach offers sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports facilities. Our final night will be back in Crete before our flight home.

More to explore

You may wish to take an optional excursion during the course of your stay. Full details will be given at the Information Meeting, including all prices. All tours can be paid for Euros. Your Tour Leader will help arrange these for you but may not necessarily accompany you.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €15.00. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate add on.

Dress code

Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening, with the emphasis throughout being informal but with no shorts or vests in the restaurants in the evenings. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear. We would also advise that you take a small torch.
