  • Accommodation 3 * Hotel Il Chiostro

After breakfast we will visit the charming Lake of Orta, the village of Orta and then San Giulio Island which we’ll reach by a private boat. This tour will take up half the day and the rest is yours to explore.

After breakfast we will go by coach to Stresa and take a boat to visit the three Borromean Islands, starting with Isola Bella. Despite only being 320m long and 400m wide, this charming island features a small fishing village, a beautiful Baroque Palace and stunning gardens that slope down to the lake. Later we will proceed to Isola Pescatori, also called Upper Island due to its northerly location, and the ancient little village’s narrow lanes before moving on to Isola Madre: the largest of the islands awash with enchanting gardens. After the tour, we will go back to our hotel in Verbania and have dinner.

  • Accommodation 3 * Hotel Il Chiostro
  • MEALS Breakfast & Dinner included

After breakfast we will head to Lake Como for a short sightseeing tour, before continuing to Azalea Coast and Villa Carlotta to see its wonderful garden. A boat then takes us over to the breath-taking town of Bellagio and its surrounding mountains, where we will have some free time to explore. Afterwards we will proceed to the historical Como town, where we can soak up its lively narrow streets and classic town square.

  • Accommodation 3 * Hotel Como
  • MEALS Breakfast included

Today we head out to Bergamo. As we travel by funicular to Bergamo Alta, we can admire the spectacular views. We visit this charming old town, the Colleoni Chapel and the glorious Basilica, which was built in 1137 by the town’s citizens in answer to the prayers to protect them from the plague. In the afternoon we will proceed by boat over Lake Iseo and the ‘green’ island Montisola.

  • Accommodation 3 * Hotel Europa
  • MEALS Breakfast & Dinner included

Today we can enjoy a full day excursion around Lake Garda, discovering its natural beauty. We will take a boat from Peschiera to the northern side of the lake. Afterwards we will arrive in Limone, a typical village named after its ancient production of lemons. We then continue through Riva del Garda, Malcesine, Bardolino and finally Garda where we stop at a local wine-cellar for a delicious wine tasting.

  • Accommodation 3 * Hotel Europa
  • MEALS Breakfast & Dinner included

Today you can relax at the hotel or go on optional tour of Sirmione and Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. Awash with squares, bridges and the odd creative masterpiece, Verona has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Explore the city with its squares, Churches and fantastic shopping.

Gratuities

We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff of minimum £40.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.

Included Programme
A sightseeing programme is included in your touring package.

Dress Code
The dress code for during the day is casual. In the evenings the dress code is smart with gentlemen requested to wear a shirt and tie. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended.
