Extras
After arriving at Kraków Airport, we’ll proceed through immigration and collect our luggage before heading to our hotel in Kraków for a Solos welcome drink and dinner at a restaurant.
After breakfast we will begin our guided walking tour of Kraków’s Old Town. Our tour will take us past the Main Market Square, St Mary’s Church and the renaissance Sukiennice Cloth Hall. After browsing the market, we’ll then proceed to Planty – also known as Kraków’s Gardens – and admire the Barbican fortress, Florian’s Gate, Slowacki Theatre and the defensive city walls. Our tour will also take us to the famous Wawel Royal Castle and its arcaded courtyard (from the outside).
Today is free for you to spend however you wish. The buzzing, bar-packed, café-spotted heart of the UNESCO-attested Krakow Old Town, the Market Square, is where all the action has played out since the Middle Ages. You can come here for people watching, history, beautiful architecture and more.
After breakfast we will have some free time to explore Kraków a little bit more and buy some souvenirs. In the afternoon we’ll transfer to the airport for our return flight home.
Our hotel is located in central Kraków, only 550 yards from Rynek Glowny – Europe’s biggest market square. The Kraków Główny Railway Station and Galeria Krakowska Shopping Centre are only a 10-minute walk away. The central location guarantees easy access to the historical Old Town, where many dining and entertainment facilities are located.
A buffet breakfast is served every morning at the hotel restaurant, which specialises in Polish and European dishes. Guests can enjoy a drink or snacks at the bar.
All rooms at the Wyspiański come with a working space with a telephone. WiFi is available. Some rooms have tea and coffee making facilities.
The transfer time from Kraków Airport to your hotel in Kraków is approximately 40 minutes, depending on the traffic.
Polish złoty
We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff of minimum £15.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
Aprrox. 4 hour guided visit of the Kraków is included.
