Day 1 (Sunday): Dubrovnik, Croatia

Embarkation is between 3 pm and 4 pm. Welcome dinner and evening sailing to Split, Croatia. Overnight at sea.

Note: In the event of adverse weather/sea conditions that prevent the ship from calling at one of the scheduled ports, alternative arrangements will be made where possible.

Day 2 (Monday): Split, Croatia
Arrive in Split in the morning. Croatia. Enjoy a morning optional walking tour to discover the city of Split, the former Imperial Resident of Roman Emperor Diocletian, dating back from the 4th century. After lunch on board, enjoy one more optional afternoon excursion to nearby Trogir, starting with a scenic journey along the Dalmatian Coast to this coastal tow. Late afternoon sailing to Rab.

Day 3 (Tuesday): Rab, Croatia
Morning arrival in Rab. Enjoy a morning optional walking tour of Rab, a historic town of rare charm founded in Roman times along a narrow tongue of land, so when travellers approached from the sea, they could see it proudly atop the head of the bay. Discover cultural and historical monuments including the Church of Justina, the Church of St. John the Baptist, the Prince’s Palace. Later in the afternoon, we sail south passing between the beautiful Kornati Islands to reach Sibenik. Overnight at sea.

Day 4 (Wednesday): Sibenik, Croatia
We reach Sibenik through a spectacular fjord. Our optional all day excursion will take us to the Krka National Park home to abundant indigenous flora and fauna, including over 200 bird species, before exploring the seaside city of Primosten and Sibenik old Town. Overnight in port.

Day 5 (Thursday): Sibenik-Hvar-Korcula, Croatia
Early morning sailing and arrival in Hvar, the longest of the Croatian isles. Enjoy a morning optional walking tour to discover the island’s Venetian flavour. You'll discover a fascinating array of sights, including the Cathedral of St. Stephens with its treasury and bell tower, or the Arsenal, built in 1611 and housing Europe's oldest theatre. Early afternoon leisurely sailing to Korcula. Late evening arrival in Korcula and overnight in port.

Day 6 (Friday): Korcula, Croatia
Enjoy some optional excursions in Korcula Town and to Lumbarda Village for wine tasting. Guests will have the opportunity to drive and stroll through the Milina - Bire family vineyards before reaching their house. Evening sailing and overnight at sea to the coastal town of Kotor in Montenegro.

Day 7 (Saturday): Kotor, Montenegro-Dubrovnik, Croatia
Early morning navigation in Kotor, the deepest natural fjord in the Mediterranean. Join the optional morning excursion to the well-preserved, fortified medieval Old Town, featuring stunning fortifications including the 10th century city walls, the Baroque church of St Blaise. We leave Kotor after lunch and sail through the stunning fjord of Kotor Bay, before we enjoy a refreshing swim in the stunning Kotor Bay. Late evening arrival in Dubrovnik- Overnight in port.

M/Y Callisto

Fully rebuilt in 2000 and renovated in 2016, the elegant Motor Yacht Callisto is one of the most recent additions to Variety’s fleet. True to her name, she is elegant, classic and charming, and reflects the finest traditions of seafaring. This classy Motor Yacht is of the ‘boutique’ category of cruiser, and offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort and safety.

Cruising M/Y Callisto

The elegant Motor Yacht Callisto recently joined the VARIETY CRUISES fleet and is true to her name: Elegant, classic. She was fully refitted/rebuilt in 2000 and was thoroughly renovated in in 2015-16. This classy Motor Yacht has performed several Atlantic Ocean crossings, and has also sailed along the most interesting coastal sites of Europe, North and West Africa.


The M/Y Callisto is of the “boutique” category of cruiser, and offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort and safety. The yacht’s public areas are cozy and generous, decorated with rich fabrics, handsome woodwork, gleaming brass, antiques and fine works of art.

Category C: Lower Deck (Twin Beds)

The category C cabins are located on the lower deck featuring port holes. They all have marble-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers. Cabins have individually controlled A/C and fitted with TV, telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.

 

Facilities Include

During the day, life on board centres around the indoor and outdoor areas including the Upper deck Indoor and Outdoor lounge/bar and dining areas as well as the cosy Library located on the Sun Deck. The lounge/bar and dining room on the Upper deck are connected by the gallery, displaying exquisite art and adding to the overall feeling of elegance and style. In the evening you can relax in the ship’s lounge, enjoy a drink overlooking the stars or relax with a book in the library with its wraparound windows.


The spacious lounge and bar area on the Upper Deck is surrounded by large picture windows and opens onto the Outdoor Dining area. The yacht features a broad Sun Deck for sunbathing and the swimming platform on Callisto’s stern enables you to swim off the ship when in sheltered bays. Service on board is provided by your Captain, the Cruise Coordinator and your experienced Marine and Hotel crew members.

Useful Information

What travel documents are required?

Participants must be in possession of a valid passport (expiring not earlier than one month after cruise ends) and should obtain visas and health certificates where required. All requirements should be confirmed with appropriate government consulate or information office prior to departure.

Currency on board

The EURO is the official currency while on board. There is an optional credit system for expenses on board that may be paid/settled at the end of the cruise. Most major currencies and traveller’s cheques are accepted/exchanged at their official exchange rate. Credit cards are accepted only on board all Variety Cruises ships.

What amenities are in my cabin

All cabins have private, nicely appointed bathrooms with showers. All cabins are air-conditioned and fitted with central music and with telephone for intra ship communication. All ships have in lounges TV's with satellite channels with at least English speaking channels. There are hairdryers in each cabin. Also, almost all of our ships have TV's or flat-screen TV's, safe boxes, mini-fridges, DVD players in cabins. 

Voltage

The ship generators provide an electric current of 220v. Cabins are equipped with European type plugs so please remember to bring an adaptor if necessary.

What services are available on board

Aboard these small ships you will find elegant dining rooms, spacious sun decks and comfortable lounges. No pools are offered as it is common for guests to swim off our ships or for passengers to reach secluded beaches by tender. Your cruise programme is either with breakfast plus lunch or dinner or with all meals. Meals are served at set times and there is flexible seating. Limited laundry service is available at a cost. The shore excursions are offered at a supplemental cost. The M/Y Pegasus, the M/Y Harmony V and the M/Y Variety Voyager offers a small wellness suite with massage and other beauty treatments. Sports activities: Swimming off the ships is possible as well as snorkelling, kayaking and canoeing. In some destinations it is possible to organise diving excursions.

What is not included in my cruise

Shore excursions, wine, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, gratuities, laundry service and items of a personal nature are not included and may be bought en route or are at a supplemental cost. There is a boutique on board some of our vessels.All on-board charges are in Euros. Gratuities are at your discretion. As a rule, satisfied customers are expected to leave between Euro 10-14 or USD 13-16 per person per day.These tips are distributed to all crew members. Guests have the choice to adjust the amount of gratuities reflecting the level of satisfaction.

Shore Excursions

Shore excursions are not included in the cruise fares and are available according to the cruise schedule/ports of call visited. Details are available in your cabin and provided also on a daily basis by the on board Cruise Coordinator. Shore excursions are subject to shore and weather conditions and based on a minimum participation.

What will the weather be like

For the comfort and pleasure of their guests, the itineraries generally follow warm rather than hot weather patterns. The world's climate being at times unpredictable, these small ships are seldom far from a sheltered bay or port. The Greece and Turkey cruise programmes operate from April to October, however they also offer an off-season themed cruise program in Greece, the Antiquity to Byzantium, operating in March, April, October and November. The cruise programs in West Africa, Cape Verde, Cuba, Costa Rica and the Panama operate from November to April. In the Seychelles  3-night, 4-night and 7-night cruise programmes are offered all year round.

 

 

What should I pack?

Please travel as lightly as possible so as not to restrict space in your cabin. Soft bags are more practical than hard suitcases. Sports or casual clothes are more useful. Plenty of swimwear is required and a pullover or cardigan is recommended for cool evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested when ashore.

 

 

Where can I keep valuables on board

Jewellery, money, documents, etc., should be placed in your individual safe deposit boxes or given to the captain who will deposit items in the ship’s safe boxes free of charge. The company and its personnel bear no responsibility for valuables kept by passengers.
