Experience the fascinating history of Norway’s Haugesund, regarded as the home of the Viking kings, before sailing up the coast towards the UNESCO-protected Geirangerfjord. The charming village of Olden gives way to the blue expanse of the Nordfjord, deemed one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Nestled between tall mountains, Flam is the gateway to the Aurlandsfjord, where you’ll never be short of postcard-esque views. A scenic sail to Bergen, brings you to a city full of character.

London Tilbury, UK – Depart 18:00

Embark MV Ambience and enjoy our first night on board with a wonderful meal and dazzling entertainment. Note: In the event of adverse weather/sea conditions that prevent the ship from calling at one of the scheduled ports, alternative arrangements will be made where possible.

At Sea

Enjoy a day to relax and explore Ambience and everything she has to offer.

DAY 3

Haugesund (Norway) 0800-1500

Considered one of the best places in which to experience the Viking period in Norway, Haugesund offers a fascinating history, with the city’s shores once home to many Viking longships. This exciting Haugesund region extends from the open sea in the west to the fjord and mountain landscape in the east.

DAY 4

Geiranger, cruise Geirangerfjord (Norway) 1200-2000

With powerful waterfalls pouring down steep lush mountainsides, hiking trails galore and several viewpoints offering different perspectives on the historic natural and cultural landscape, Geiranger is a must-do on a visit to the fjord region. The iconic Geirangerfjord is known for its spectacular waterfalls and deserted fjord farms high up on the steep cliffsides. The Geirangerfjord is one of Norway’s most popular natural attractions, situated in Stranda municipality. The fjord is 260 metres deep while the surrounding mountains are 1600-1700 metres high.

DAY 5

Olden, cruise Nordfjord (Norway) 0900-1800

Olden, a charming village in Western Norway, that is idyllically situated between steep mountains, blue glaciers and foaming waterfalls. It is located deep in the Nordfjord, cradled in a lush valley among snow-capped peaks.

DAY 6

Flam, cruise Sognefjord & Aurlandsfjord (Norway) (Land by launch or tender) 0700-900

Flåm is a popular tourist village deep within the Norwegian fjords. Located on a branch of the magnificent Sognefjord lies the tiny village of Flåm. On the banks of the Aurlandsfjord and close to the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, Flåm is best known for its spectacular mountain-to-fjord railway journey.The railway descends 867 metres in less than a hour, providing an ever-changing view from mountain scenery to fjord. Highlights include several bridges and the striking Kjosfossen waterfall. * This port will land by launch or tender

DAY 7

Bergen (Norway) 0800-1800

“The heart of the fjords” is one of the nicknames for Bergen. Even though Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway, it offers small town charm alongside a metropolitan character. Houses clinging to the hillsides …… narrow cobblestone lanes and  the picturesque wharf with several old, wooden buildings standing tall in different colours. The UNESCO World Heritage site Bryggen, a Hanseatic wharf, is a glorious remnant from when Bergen was a key centre for trade between Norway and Europe. Today, the wharf houses a museum, shops, galleries, and restaurants, and is a focal point for both locals and visitors.

As we make our way towards Tilbury, maybe treat yourself to a treatment in the Spa or do a little on board shopping.

This morning we dock at London Tilbury.  After a last breakfast on board, disembark Ambience for your onward journey home.

Whether you like it shaken or stirred, she has numerous bars to whet your whistle. Dining options are plentiful at their Buckingham restaurant or the Borough Market and the glorious Alfresco Grill. Wining and dining are more than fine at Saffron*, Sea & Grass* or our deluxe Chef’s Table*, where a speciality gastronomic experience is offered that’s not to be missed. Ambience offers the Aces & Eights bridge and card room and the Ambassador Casino, the gym and Wellness Centre,  Brontë’s library, the shopping galleria, not to mention a swimming pool, two hot tubs and a large screen for outdoor movies. Room Includes

A range of cabins span seven accommodation decks from the Aloe deck 4 up to the Ambassador deck 11. The cabins are more spacious to cater to today’s climate, averaging 17-18 square meters. All cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite facilities including a shower and ample storage space with room under the beds to store suitcases. Most of cabins can be converted to a double bed. All cabins have a tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge,  hair dryer, personal safe, UK three pin electrical sockets and USB ports. There is also a flat screen TV (please note, TV reception is subject to weather conditions and the geographic location of the ship).
