Following our arrival into Dubrovnik we will proceed to a local restaurant for lunch before catching the ferry across to Kamenari and the resort of Budva in Montenegro: the ‘pearl of the Mediterranean’. This main resort is full of life with its pavement cafes, lovely beaches and an Old Town awash with bell towers, piazzas and distinctive Venetian houses. Overnight Budva.

This morning we head to the old capital, Cetinje. Founded in the 15th century, this quiet town is home to King Nicolas’ Palace. This maroon and white palace was built from 1863-1867 and once served as the seat of the Royal family for more than 50 years. A light lunch will be taken in the quaint village of Njeguṧi. Overnight Budva.

George Bernard Shaw once said “Those who seek paradise should come to Dubrovnik.” Nestled between the Adriatic and the Dinaric Alps, this tranquil, medieval city is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – gaze in wonder at the splendour of Dubrovnik’s tiled roofs, marble streets and ancient city walls all set beside the shimmering sea. Our sightseeing tour here includes the Rectors palace (used for filming of the TV series Game of Thrones). Overnight Dubrovnik

Your Tour Leader will help arrange these for you but may not necessarily accompany you.

Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.

Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €30.00. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate add on.

A reasonable level of fitness/mobility is required as we include plenty of sightseeing/travelling, sometimes with early starts.

Dress Code
Casual daytime wear is recommended. Comfortable shoes are a “must” for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evenings - the emphasis throughout being informality.
