We will continue to the city center on the way passing iconic buildings such as the Temple of Saint Sava, the largest Orthodox Church in the Balkans, Terazije Square and National Parliament.

Later we will check in at our hotel and have a Solos welcome drink and dinner.

In the afternoon we will have some free time to freshen up before the New Year’s Eve celebration. To bring in 2021, we will indulge in an unforgettable Gala Dinner in a local restaurant at the Bohemian Quarter (Skadarlija) while enjoying a live traditional music orchestra “tamburaši” and learning about the New Year celebrations in Serbia, tasting traditional food and making wishes for the year ahead.

New Years Day! Today we will have a full day excursion to Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci. We will see the Old Matica Srpska Library and Gallery (from the outside) and the intricate and iconic art inside the Orthodox Cathedral. Our next stop is the Petrovaradin Fortress (steps involved) and Sremski Karlovci, a lovely picturesque town, where we will have wine tasting.

Useful Information

Passports & Visas

British passport holders don’t need a visa to visit Serbia for up to 90 days. For further information on entry and exit requirements, contact the Serbian Embassy in London.

If you are not a British citizen and do not hold a British passport, you must make your own enquiries as to the applicable requirements. Alternatively, you can apply for your Visa with our preferred partner the Travel Visa company by selecting the following link; Travel Visa Company.

Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay. No additional period of validity beyond this is required.

Transfer Time
The transfer time from Belgrade Airport to the hotel in Belgrade is approximately 30 minutes, depending on weather and traffic.

Gratuities

We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff of £15.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
