Arrive in Copenhagen and transfer to Norwegian Getaway.

  • Accommodation 4 * Norwegian Getaway
  • MEALS Dinner included

It's been more than two decades since the walls came down and Berlin became unified in many ways, including the pursuit of joy. Germany's capital city is a city that balances cosmopolitan chic with a liberal undercurrent of creativity and cool. Famous landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag fascinate. The elegant Bavarian Quarter amazes.

The capital of Estonia impresses cruise guests with its mix of medieval houses and very modern boutiques and café culture. Journey inside the ancient walls of the Old Town to explore stunning medieval landmarks like Toompea Castle and a 15th Century apothecary shop. Move up a couple centuries to experience Tsar Peter I's Kadriorg Palace, filled with art and surrounded by sculpted gardens and peaceful woodlands.

  • Accommodation 4 * Norwegian Getaway
  • MEALS All meals included

Peter the Great founded St. Petersburg in 1703 as his ‘Window on the West’. Drawing inspiration from Europe, the Russian Tsar and his successors created an extraordinary city on the banks of the River Neva with opulent palaces, ornate churches and splendid parks all part of the supremely elegant architectural ensemble. The magnificent Hermitage and its priceless treasures of art, grandeur of Catherine’s Palace at Pushkin and gilded fountains in the gardens at Peterhof illustrate the lavish lifestyle of Russia’s former ruling elite. St. Petersburg has for centuries been the cultural centre of Russia, with its spectacular architecture, Tchaikovsky operas and the famous Kirov ballet. It has undergone many changes over the decades, but "The Venice of the North" remains a dazzling cruise destination, a Russian city with a European flair, a city with more than 200 museums, and one of the largest English gardens in Europe.

  • Accommodation 4 * Norwegian Getaway
  • MEALS All meals included

Welcome to Scandinavia's “White City of the North,” a city defined more by its people and Art Nouveau architecture than its chilly climate. Helsinki is a classic sea-city, with a dramatic coastline coloured by bays and inlets. Finland’s capital is a vibrant, modern city, yet very much in harmony with the surrounding nature. Its centrepiece is the majestic Senate Square lined with elegant neo-classical buildings and the impressive Lutheran Cathedral with white Corinthian columns and five green cupolas. A striking exception to Helsinki’s general architectural style is the Russian Orthodox, onion-domed Uspenski Cathedral, which stands on a hill at the end of Market Square and dominates the city skyline. Built into solid rock Temppeliaukio Church is also somewhat unusual.

Laced by an ingenious network of waterways and bridges strung between a freshwater lake and the sea, Stockholm is easily seen on foot or by waterway cruise. Its gabled old townhouses peer over cobblestone streets, whilst its magnificent 17th-century palace sits watching over the harbour. Approached through an archipelago of some 24,000 islands and islets, Sweden’s stately and spacious capital is itself built on 14 islands connected by some 50 bridges. Founded in 1252, Stockholm grew up around Gamla Stan. The charming Old Town is a maze of medieval alleys and tiny lanes lined with 16th century buildings some of which feature wrought-iron signs symbolising ancient craft workers’ guilds. A delightful mix of parkland and forest, Royal Djurgården is Stockholm’s city park. The island is home to the magnificent Vasa Museum housing a salvaged 17th century Swedish warship that sank on its maiden voyage.

On our October departure, your cruise ship pulls into the small Swedish port of Nynashman. You'll be greeted by ferries transporting travellers to Gotland Island. Nynashman hosts a harbour party each summer where boaters and travellers alike flock. The small and laidback town offers picture-taking opportunities from the surrounding scenic nature and of course, the Baltic Sea.
