Today we will go on a full day tour, starting in the fairytale village of Sintra. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1992, Sintra is one of Portugal’s most magical places. We will continue our journey to Cascais and Estoril by crossing the most western coast in continental Europe. Cascais and Estoril became two of the most cosmopolitan places in Portugal after King Luis I chose the bay for his summer residence in the late 19th century. In the afternoon we’ll return to Lisbon.

After breakfast we will make our way inland to Evora – a true living museum and a city full of history and culture. Here we will visit the roman temple of Diana, one of the oldest universities in the country and the biggest medieval cathedral in Portugal. Transfer Time
The transfer time from Lisbon Airport to your hotel in Lisbon is approximately 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff of £25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.

Included Programme
A sightseeing programme is included in your touring package.

Dress Code

The dress code for during the day is casual. In the evenings the dress code is smart casual. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended.

Please note
A reasonable level of fitness/mobility is required as we include plenty of sightseeing/travelling, some with early starts.
