Passports and visas You must have a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months validity left. British passport holders travelling to Egypt normally need a visa, unless you are staying in Sharm El Sheikh region for 15 days or less. All other areas of Egypt, or stays in Sharm longer than 15 days, will require a visa.
Sharm el Sheikh If you plan to stay longer than 15 days or take day visits outside this area, such as Cairo, you will require a visa, which you can get at the airport on arrival.
