Our much-loved Balls are a great opportunity to dress up and meet new people. Sip a glass of something refreshing at a welcome reception before our three-course dinner, as laughter and chatter flows easily. Dancing to a disco takes us into the early hours before rounding off the night with coffee and pastries.
What’s Extra
The venue for our Summer Ball is the charming Chesford Grange Hotel set in the Warwickshire countryside. Check in is from 3pm and you can make the most of the facilities our hotel has to offer.
That evening it’s time to party! Meet your Solos host and other guests for an evening welcome drink followed by a three-course dinner and lots of dancing!
Our hotel is a delight to behold, with red roofed turrets and 17 acres of landscaped gardens. It’s a short drive from Junction 15 of the M40, close to Kenilworth and 4 miles from Leamington Spa station. Free car parking is available at the hotel.
Facilities include a restaurant, bar, gym, steam room, heated loungers and an indoor swimming pool.
Rooms have tea/coffee-making facilities, TV, hairdryer and WiFi.

The dress code is Black Tie (cocktail dresses for the ladies).
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides and hotel staff (including restaurant, kitchen and reception staff) of approximately £10. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of bar staff and housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (the rounding up of the drinks bill and a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, restaurants expect a 10% gratuity (do check that service has not already been added to your bill). For taxis 10% of the metered fare.
