Explore the abundant treasures of Austria and Hungary on a unique cruise to discover the secrets of the Danube. Admire the colorful alleys of Bratislava that twist around each other like in a fairy-tale village, and the Puszta, the true soul and heart of Hungary. Visit the Gellert baths, which are full of a wide range of balneotherapy services, but also the Sisi Museum, which puts in comparison myth and truth. There, you will be able to contemplate many personal effects as well as the most famous portraits of the legendary Empress. NB: There is no Solos Tour Leader on this departure – Solos guests will be assisted by CroisiEurope’s Host/Hostess

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

DAY 1

VIENNA

Passengers are welcome to board the ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, there will be a Welcome Cocktail where you will be introduced to our crew. Our ship will depart at 8:00 p.m. towards Melk and sail through the night.
DAY 2

MELK - DÜRNSTEIN

Visit the Melk Abbey (optional excursions available). We’ll then cruise up the beautiful Wachau Valley all the way to Dürnstein, passing gothic ruins and picturesque villages along the way. Once we arrive, we’ll take a tour of this charming medieval town with our hostess. We’ll return on board at the end of the afternoon and continue cruising towards Bratislava.
DAY 3

BRATISLAVA - KALOCSA

Today there are optional excursions available: A guided Tour of Bratislava and Hiking in Bratislava: the Little Carpathians. From Devin Castle, you can take in the splendid view of Bratislava. The afternoon will be spent cruising towards our next destination.
DAY 4

KALOCSA - BUDAPEST

To the east of Danube, in the southern part of the country, you will find the Great Hungarian Plain. A country of farmers, horse and cattle breeders, Puszta possesses, at the heart of its huge plains, the real soul of Hungary. There is an optional excursion where you will discover the Puszta, its wonderful landscapes and unusual fauna (including a traditional horse show.) The afternoon will be spent cruising towards Budapest, reaching it during the night.
DAY 5

BUDAPEST

Overnight we arrived in Budapest. Budapest, the metropolis that was once two distinct cities united only in 1873: Buda, on one bank with its rolling hills and valleys; and Pest, on the other, with its flatter landscape offering a panoramic view over the banks of the Danube. Again, you can join some optional excursions maybe Discover the Gellert Baths and Spa or Budapest Market Halls. In the evening, join us on an excursion featuring an evening of traditional entertainment in Budapest.
DAY 6

ESZTERGOM - VIENNA

Once we have berthed in this destination, enjoy some free time in Esztergom, one of the oldest cities in Hungary. The afternoon will be spent cruising to Vienna. Tonight enjoy a gala evening on board. Our ship will sail through the night towards Vienna.
DAY 7

VIENNA

Join one of the optional excursions. Maybe a guided visit of Vienna and Schönbrunn Castle or  The high art of Viennese living: Music and Viennese cafes. Stroll through the city and visit back stage in the Konzerthaus concert hall. After the tour, enjoy a steaming cup of Vienna Coffee and a delicious pastry. In the afternoon, join another optional excursion which is a guided tour of Hofburg Palace. Tonight there is another optional excursion – A Concert of Viennese music (subject to availability).
DAY 8

VIENNA

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking  and transferring to the airport for our flight home. We hope you will make some memorable memories on this fabulous river cruise.

Completely renovated in 2017 according to the company’s new standards, this ship now offers much more spacious cabins with large bay windows on the upper deck.  The cabins evoke a marine atmosphere. Located on the upper deck, the lounge / bar (at the front) and the restaurant (at the rear) have wide panoramic windows. The cabins are spread over two decks: on the upper deck, they have large windows with French balconies; on the main deck, they have large windows. Do not hesitate to go to the sun deck to relax! It is furnished with armchairs and sun loungers to allow you to relax while enjoying a panoramic view of the landscapes.

Facilities Include

Restaurant: Located on the upper deck, the restaurant is where all meals are served during your cruise. It seats all guests at tables which vary in size with a panoramic view. The atmosphere is casual but elegant. Reception: Perfect place to meet up with friends before excursions or to ask any information you may need to the staff. The Gift Shop is also located here, you’ll find a wide assortment of souvenirs, CroisiEurope products and post cards. Lounge Bar: The lounge tastefully decorated has panoramic views and is spanning the bow of the ship. Cocktails and games, dancing, and other forms of entertainment all happen here. Sun Deck: It is equipped with recliners and deck chairs, so that you can enjoy the best views of your cruise.
