Day 1 - Explore the magnetism of marvellous Malaysia! Malaysia’s bustling capital Kuala Lumpur is a magical place and in the evening her Petronas Towers twinkle spectacularly against the night sky. After meeting our guide and transferring to the hotel to refresh, we head out into the bustling night markets in Chinatown where you can test your bargaining skills on a host of merchandise! We visit the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple with its smell of burning jasmine, incessant chanting of the Hindu priest and intricately carved deities. A delicious Malay dinner is served in a typical local restaurant accompanied by a cultural performance.

Day 2 – Kuala Lumpur Heritage Trail. Our morning walking tour covers the heart of this historic city. In store are Masjid Jamek; one of the oldest mosques, the Panggung Bandaraya Building with its Moorish style, Dataran Merdeka Kuala Lumpur or Independence Square, the Cathedral of St Mary (one of the oldest Anglican churches in Kuala Lumpur) and a host of other fascinating sites.

Day 3 – Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands. . It’s time to head north towards Cameron Highlands with a visit at the famous Batu Caves and the shrine of the Hindu deity Lord Subramaniam. After visiting a cottage industry and the Lata Iskandar Waterfall, it’s then time for tea overlooking beautiful plantations and a visit to see how this favourite hot beverage is grown and processed.

Day 4 – Cameron Highlands – Bukit Merah – Banding. At Bukit Merah, an island in a lake near Kuala Kangsar, we’ll take a boat ride out to the orangutan island which serves as a conservation, education and breeding sanctuary for this beautiful endangered species. After visiting the royal town of Kuala Kangsar and the Ubudiah Mosque it’s into the rainforest.

Day 5 - Belum Tour. Our day is spent exploring, both by boat and on foot, the largely untouched Belum Forest with its wealth of fauna and flora. Have a picnic lunch beside a waterfall where we can take a dip in the cool waters. We take in the scenic spots of Sungai Hulu Kejar and the indigenous settlement at Kampung Aman Damai. A perfect place to explore.

Day 6 - Banding – Penang. We head north west to the island of Penang for a couple of days where we can explore the streets and buildings influenced by the city’s different ethnic cultures and religions. Arriving this afternoon, we head out to visit the Kek Lok Si temple, a majestic Buddhist Taoist temple with its imposing 10,000 Buddha Pagodas and the incredible Tortoise Pond of Longevity.

Day 7 – At leisure in Penang. With so much to do around Penang, today is at leisure to explore on your own or perhaps take an optional tour of historical Georgetown and or head to the Penang National Park and a cruise along mangrove waterways to a turtle conservation centre.

Day 8 - 11 Penang to Langkawi. After a few days of busy sightseeing it’s chill out time. The ferry takes us across to the tropical island of Langkawi, a unique natural paradise with emerald waters and lush green mountains. Our resort is situated along a private kilometer stretch of the famed white shores of Cenang Beach. Here is our chance to relax and also have fun with the many recreational activities on offer.

Day 12 - Langkawi – London.Final day at leisure before departing late this afternoon for your journey home.
