Punakha Dzong is one of Bhutan’s most beautiful and historic fortresses, located at the confluence of two rivers. It is the second oldest and second-largest dzong in Bhutan and is a popular tourist attraction.
The country is a popular destination for hikers, with numerous trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels. Some of the most popular trekking routes include the Druk Path Trek and the Snowman Trek.
Bhutan has many traditional villages that offer a glimpse into the country’s unique culture and way of life. Some of the most popular villages to visit include the village of Gangtey, known for its stunning valley and black-necked cranes, and the village of Bumthang, known for its historic temples and traditional architecture.
Bhutan is known for its colourful festivals, or ‘tshechus’, which are held throughout the year in different parts of the country. These festivals feature masked dances, music, and other cultural performances.
