Netherlands

Why Visit The Netherlands?

A land where flat landscapes painted with tulip fields and windmills coincide with picturesque canals and staggering architecture, the Netherlands attracts a far broader crowd than one might first expect. Explore the Van Gogh Museum and house of Ann Frank, walk through a sea of tulips at Keukenhof or simply delight in some delicious Dutch cheese! Popular for its perpetually beautiful but lively capital, Amsterdam, this is a country to visit on a city break and return to on a countrywide tour.

Discover The Netherlands

Uncover The History Of Amsterdam

This country is dripping with history and is known as one of Europe’s major art capitals from the must-see art museums of Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh to the famous house of Ann Frank. Add to this a flurry of colourful canals, a city that loves bikes and an endless choice of restaurants – Amsterdam is a city that will captivate any single traveller during a city break.

The Secrets of The Netherlands

You will notice that bicycles are plentiful in Amsterdam and in fact the whole of the Netherlands – there are more of these than residents! Most children in the Netherlands are immersed in cycling before they can even walk. The 70s Velo-rution kick-started the cycling trend when a social movement responded to the increase in car-related deaths. Today, the Dutch have built a vast network of cycle paths that include separate signposts and lights for those on two wheels!
