DAY 1

UK to Male in the Maldives

Today we take an overnight flight from London to Male.
DAY 2

Male

Welcome to the Maldives! The Yasawa Princess will be anchored just off of Villigili, which is a convenient 20 minute boat ride from Male International Airport. You’ll be greeted on arrival and the Guest Arrivals Officer will assist you to the boat’s private tender for your transfer. On arrival to the boat, you’ll be helped with your check-in. There will also be a welcome briefing, including safety procedures and an introduction to your Yasawa Princess cruise experience. During this informal session, you’ll meet guests onboard, the dive team and the crew members who will assist you throughout your cruising holiday. This will be followed by a pre-dinner cocktail on the bar/restaurant deck where you’ll be able to watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

DAY 3

Male to South Male Atoll

Today we depart from Male and cross the Vaadhoo Channel to South Male Atoll. We’ll spend the morning and afternoon visiting the beautiful Sand Bank (Kalhuhuraa), where you can relax, soak up the sun and take a dip in the warm Indian Ocean. *Beach umbrellas will be placed on the sand bank for some shade.

DAY 4

Short cruise within the atoll to Rannalhi

Today we visit Rannali, a small boutique resort island located on the western edge of South Male Atoll, with easy access to the surrounding reef for snorkelling. Spa and other facilities can be booked directly in resort.

DAY 5

Alimatha Sand Bank

In the early morning, we cross the channel into Vaavu Felidu Atoll to reach Alimatha Sand bank (approx 5hrs) located on the Eastern Edge of the Atoll. A large turquoise lagoon surrounds this sand bar and is an attractive reef to snorkel. The whole day will be spent on this sand bank and lunch will be served on the boat. Sun umbrellas will be placed for shade if the conditions are favourable. Optional: Night Snorkelling Session on Alimatha Resort House Reef, this excursion has become a firm Solos favourite for guests. Huge Nurse Sharks, Sting Rays & Trevally can be spotted throughout this unforgettable experience.

DAY 6

Cruise to Anbaraa

In the morning, we’ll cruise to Anbaraa, a small picnic island located on the north-western side of Vaavu Atoll that has easy access to the reef for snorkellers. Tonight, enjoy an evening BBQ – with the crew setting up a dinner under the stars on the beach. This is probably one of the favourite and most memorable evenings of our cruise. The chefs will prepare a Maldivian beach BBQ with drinks and music, whilst you enjoy the amazing views and a spot of stargazing.

DAY 7

South Ari Atoll

After an early morning crossing the channel, we’ll arrive in South Ari Atoll (approx. 6hrs). Oshagali Finolhu – A tender will be ready as soon as we reach this sandbank in South Ari Atoll. The reef surrounding the sandbank has lot of healthy hard corals which snorkellers love. Lunch will be served on the boat and you will return to the sand bank in the afternoon.

DAY 8

Cruise from Oshagali to Ariadhoo

Today we will take a short cruise from Oshagali to Ariadhoo. Ariadhoo is an agricultural island with lots of plantation. There is access to a sand stretch to relax, with easy access to the ocean for swimming and snorkelling. In the late afternoon, we visit Maamagili, where we will experience the local lifestyle. This is also a good opportunity to do some souvenir shopping!

DAY 9

Maamagili

Today the boat will be anchored off Maamagili, which is where the domestic airport is situated for any mid cruise arrivals/departures. At least one excursion will be provided to guests staying onboard for the following week. You can also enjoy relaxing onboard. *Diving can be arranged depending on Dhoni availability.

DAY 10

Short cruise to Hurasdhoo

Hurasdhoo is a small deserted island with a white sandy beach surrounding the island. Beach umbrellas will be placed if the conditions are favourable. Optional Manta Ray excursion: Guests will go out to Rangali Madivaru, a manta ray cleaning station. Peak Season (January –April).

DAY 11

Emdudu

Embudu is a small deserted island on the western edge of the atoll, with a small plantation and a long stretch of white sandy beach. Morning and afternoon excursions are arranged, and if conditions are favourable, beach umbrellas are placed for shade on the beach. The house reef of the island is perfect for snorkelling, and with a bit of luck, you might spot turtles or Eagle Rays passing by.

DAY 12

Raiydhigaa

Raiydhigaa – This is a picnic island with a natural harbour. The reef surrounding the island has an enclosed lagoon with 2 narrow channels for vessels to enter. This island has a long white sandy beach on one end. Snorkellers can easily swim from the beach to deeper water. A full day will be spent on the Island, with a picnic Lunch which will be prepared by our Chefs. Guests will be taken back to the boat at 1600Hrs and will return to the island at 1900Hrs for the BBQ Evening. There will be music and entertainment after Dinner.

DAY 13

Alikoi Rah

Alikoi Rah – This is a sandbank located in the centre of Ari Atoll, surrounding a well grown reef. Snorkelers love this house reef as there are a lot of fish, turtles and rays to be spotted. Sunset Cruise to Maaya Sand Bank.

DAY 14

Maayafushi Sandbank

Maayafushi Sandbank – This is a large sand bank located at the northern edge of Ari Atoll. Flocks of common Seabirds can be found on this sand bar. Reef with lots of nice coral and fish for snorkelling. Sun umbrellas will be setup if the conditions are favourable.

DAY 15

Cross Alihuras Kandu

Today we cross Alihuras Kandu heading back to Male’. Enjoy a final swim in the warm Indian ocean as we will stop at a sandbar on our way. The journey from North Ari Atoll to Male’ will take around 4-5 hrs. Once we reach Male’ our dhoni will be ready to take you to Male’ the capital of Maldives, where you can visit the local market, wander around and have an ice cream or do some shopping for souvenirs.

DAY 16

Depart Male to UK

Enjoy a nice relaxing breakfast overlooking the Indian Ocean before your transfer to the airport.

Accommodation

The Yasawa Princess

The ship offers a comfortable, friendly and relaxed experience, where the dress code is casual throughout. There are no more than 60 guests at any one time, providing for a very informal atmosphere onboard. The official dress code is shorts and swimwear during the day and casual dress in the evenings both onboard and on the deserted islands, where beautiful soft white sand makes shoes optional.

Facilities Include

The dining area and main bar are on B deck where there is also a small air-conditioned lounge with comfy settees, a large LCD TV and DVD player. Beach towels are provided every day of snorkelling and there are sun loungers on the top deck. There is a small laundry room with free use of washing machines and a tumble dryer, perfect for light packing.

Room Includes

All 33 cabins are non-smoking and spread over three decks with sea views: Lower Main Deck: situated on the lower deck of the ship but slightly larger with a double bed or twin beds with porthole. A Deck: situated on the middle deck of the ship, with a double bed or twin beds deck window and door opening onto an outside walkway. Bridge Deck: situated at the very top of the ship next to the Sun Deck, with a double bed or twin beds, deck window and door opening onto an outside walkway.
