Spend Easter with fellow Solos guests taking advantage of an extra 2 days off and join us for a 2 night break over the Easter weekend at the Bowden Hall Hotel with a day out visiting the regency town of Cheltenham and the pretty Cotswolds Villages.
Extras
Check in at leisure during the afternoon and perhaps enjoy the hotels bar before meeting your fellow Solos guests for a welcome drink followed dinner and a quiz hosted by our Tour Leader.
After breakfast we will board our coach to Cheltenham. Cheltenham is brimming with history and our guide will take us on a journey through the regency part of the town where you can still see remnants of Cheltenham’s past as a spa town.
We then move on to the Cotswold village of Broadway. This picture postcard village is known as the ‘heart of the Cotswolds’ and offers a beautiful example of limestone period buildings. Here we will have an opportunity to look around and perhaps enjoy a lunch in one of the traditional cafes on the main High Street.
We then move on to Burford which is a Cotswold town on the River Windrush where the main street slopes gently down to the river and is lined with old houses and ancient cottages showing little has changed since Tudor times.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and say goodbye.
Set amongst 12 acres of beautiful Cotswolds countryside, this country retreat has a blend of traditional and contemporary style. Please note this hotel has no lift.
Relax in the hotel bar or grab a bite to eat in the restaurant. WIFI is available throughout the hotel and there is a small fitness suite that you can use. Complimentary car parking is available.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff (including restaurant, kitchen and reception staff) of approximately £10. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of bar staff and housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (the rounding up of the drinks bill and a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, restaurants expect a 10% gratuity (do check that service has not already been added to your bill). For taxis 10% of the metered fare.
