Welcome to fabulous Kenya! Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport, we’ll proceed through immigration, collect our luggage and transfer to Tamambo Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for lunch. After lunch, we will visit Karen Blixon’s house and the Giraffe Centre before later transferring to our hotel in Nairobi. Dinner at Carnivore restaurant.
After breakfast at our hotel we will drive to Amboseli National Park, a park that’s famous for its breath-taking views of Kilimanjaro. The park also shelters over 420 species of birds. We will enjoy lunch at the lodge before setting off on an afternoon game drive. Afterwards we will return to the lodge and enjoy dinner with other Solos guests. Overnight Amboseli National Park.
Today we’ll rise early to witness spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up over the summit. In the morning, we’ll set off for a game drive; Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from wildebeest to giraffes to baboons. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and an afternoon rest, followed by another game drive. In the evening, we will gather together for dinner.
After an early breakfast we will drive to the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. Afterwards we will enjoy an afternoon boat ride in Lake Naivasha with a magnificent view of Mount Longonot, hippos and over 400 species of birds on the island – a perfect photo opportunity! The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.
After an early breakfast we will depart and drive overland to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve – Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary, where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate here is gentle and rarely too hot with well spread rainfall all year round. We will arrive in time for lunch at our lodge. Afterwards we will enjoy an extensive game drive in the reserve.
Today we can enjoy an optional (extra cost) early morning hot air balloon flight over the Mara Plains followed by a bubbly bush breakfast, or an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Mid-morning we will enjoy a game drive in the reserve followed by lunch at the lodge. Come late afternoon, we will head out for an extensive game drive in the reserve.
After an early breakfast at the lodge we will drive to Nairobi (picnic lunch boxes are included). On arrival we will transfer to Nairobi Train Station for transfer to Mombasa. Overnight Mombasa
