Extras
We think Montenegro is one of Europe’s best-kept secrets and we’re sure you’ll agree. This small country has beautiful beaches, world heritage sites and dramatic lakes, mountains and river canyons. The country is peppered with charming coastal towns and mountain villages and there are five national parks to explore.
Our exclusive 15-room hotel is within walking distance of the coastal village of Dobrota, where you’ll find a handful of bars and restaurants. It’s just a short bus or taxi ride to the beautiful walled town of Kotor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most visited coastal towns in Montenegro. Flanked by steep-sided mountains the Bay of Kotor is the jewel in Montenegro’s crown. From the waterfront promenade, follow a maze of stone paths to Orthodox churches, cathedrals, Venetian palaces, boutiques and piazzas with welcoming cafes, bars and restaurants. Day or night – when the magnificent fortifications illuminate the town’s mountain slopes – it’s impossible not to fall under Kotor’s spell.
The Bay of Kotor itself can easily be mistaken for a lake as it is surrounded by high mountains, creating mesmerising scenery.
The boutique Casa Del Mare Vizura Hotel is the perfect base from which to explore Montenegro. Casa Del Mare Vizura is exclusive to Montenegro Solos Exclusive weeks, which means all facilities, including the indoor pool with sauna, outdoor infinity pool and spacious furnished sun terrace with views over Kotor Bay, are for the use of Solos guests only. Room types include standard mountain-view, deluxe rooms with sea-views and deluxe one-bedroom sea-view suites.
If you fancy a change of scenery, several small beaches are easily accessed by bus or taxi from our hotel. Solos guests have use of the sister hotels’ pebble beaches in Orahovac (approx 10 mins drive), Bocasa (approx 20 minutes drive) and the beach at Amfora (approx 6 mins drive).
We offer some excellent excursions to help you see more of Montenegro. On a visit to the Dinara Alps, you’ll enjoy panoramic mountain-top views from the Lovcen & Cetinje National Park. We also offer trips to Lake Skadar – a magnificent freshwater lake with an oxbow bend – picturesque Kotor Bay and the fishing village of Perast. A highlight of this trip by boat is a visit to the island church, Our Lady of the Rocks, perched on a made-made islet in the Bay.
Offering panoramic views and first-class facilities, our exclusive boutique hotel is the perfect choice for a sociable and relaxing holiday in Montenegro.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €25.00 per guest. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear to cover all eventualities
Mobile roaming can be costly in Montenegro. You may want to consider turning off data roaming to avoid high phone charges or purchase an e-SIM card. WiFi is provided at the hotel so calls and messages can be made using a WIFI connection.
