Extras
This unique and attractive modern hotel offers up stunning views from its clifftop location. This adults-only hotel sits in a private and secluded spot just 200 metres from the nearest beach, with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Beaches aside, it’s the three stunning outdoor pools, with views overlooking the Los Gigantes Cliffs and the island of La Gomera, that draw in visitors. The hotel also has a sophisticated spa with a hydrotherapy circuit and pool.
Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with the choice of a sea, pool or even a Mount Teide view. Guests rave about the food on offer, and the restaurant follows the general trend for this hotel…views! Modern international and traditional Canarian dishes, live show cooking and a terrace with a stunning backdrop. In summary; fantastic food, breathtaking views and relaxation. What’s not to love!
Puerto de Santiago, nestled on the tranquil west coast of the island, retains its charming heritage as a quaint fishing village, offering visitors the same serene atmosphere that has endured through the years. Picture whitewashed houses, a handful of bars and restaurants tucked away in winding backstreets, a small harbour and a rugged hillside backdrop.
The small town is nestled between the two livelier resorts of Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena, both walking distance from our hotel. Los Gigantes (a little less busy than Playa de la Arena) has a wider choice of shops, bars and restaurants, along with a bustling marina. Take a leisurely stroll along the coastal promenade from Puerto de Santiago’s harbour into Los Gigantes and enjoy the gorgeous views along the way.
There is more to see on this stunning island if you fancy a break from your sun-lounger. The wildflower-filled Teide National Park is home to the third largest volcano in the world and is a must for nature-lovers. You can reach its 3718 metre high peak by taking a cable car, or for the brave amongst us, take a hike along the trails that wind their way up to the summit. Either way, you’ll enjoy truly spectacular views from the top.
Another fantastic addition to your Tenerife holiday would be a visit to the tiny hidden hamlet of Masca. Set high in the mountains, this really is a ‘step back in time’ kind of place and is Tenerife’s answer to the Lost World. Whilst you’re there, it’s worth tasting the local cactus lemonade or cactus ice cream, made from local plants that grow in abundance in this rugged landscape.
