FOR WEB Dreamstime Xl 51763335 Seville

Why go?

  • Beautiful architecture
  • Discover the natural beauty of Maria Luisa Park
  • Indulge in tapas in a local tapas bar
  • Perhaps experience the beauty of Flamenco Dance

A monumental city

A guided walking tour will give us a taste of some of the most popular and monumental areas of the city, including Plaza de España and Barrio de Santa Cruz, which was once the home of the Jewish community. We will then head through the stunning Maria Luisa Park; with hundreds of exotic trees, including the famous orange trees, time will stand still whilst we are in this beautiful large green space. Later we will learn about the Gothic style Seville Cathedral; the infamous Girlada Tower; and The Royal Alcazar Palace, Reales Alcazares, which is considered to be the oldest Royal Palace still in use!

Although the entrance is not included, during our free time we can discover the full history of both the Palace and Cathedral if we wish. Afterwards we can spend some time discovering further sights, and of course, enjoying the delicious tapas that is served at numerous bars around the squares of the city.

Fiery flamenco & tempting tapas

With a full day at leisure, we can find out what else this charming city has to offer. A stop at the Museum of Fine Arts is highly recommended, as it hosts some of the so-called Golden Age of Sevillian paintings during the 17th Century, with Murillo or Zurbaran amongst their main artists. The Mercado Lonja del Barranco is also a must-visit for a different tapas experience. Located in a beautiful riverside glass and iron building, there is a wide variety of foods to enjoy including gourmet tapas. With glass walls and high ceilings, the market is the perfect setting to indulge in some Spanish cuisine.

Included Programme
During your holiday, we have included a guided tour of the the city.

More to Explore
Seville is such a lovely city with so much to see and do, your Tour Leader will be able to advise of excursions you may like to participate in or good places to visit.

Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.

Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €15.00. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate Ͽo add on.
