Verona City Tour and the Night at the Opera Festival

After breakfast, we explore the historic city of Verona – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our local guide will lead us on a walking tour of the heart of the city where we will see traces of its long history from Roman and Medieval eras, through to the Gothic and Scaligera periods. The guided tour of the old town showcases the majestic Castelvecchio castle and the Arco dei Gavi (Gavi’s arch). We stroll along Corso Cavour, see Juliet’s House, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori and Piazza Brà with the Arena.

This evening, we enjoy live opera in the largest open-air amphitheatre in the world – the Arena di Verona. The performance is Bizet’s Carmen, the tragic love story of Carmen – a girl from Seville and featuring the seductive Harbanera and rousing Toreador’s song. The seat tickets are in 1st sector Verdi* (*Subject to availability at the time of booking).
