The Czech Republic has only existed since 1993, but has a rich and varied history, dating back to Biblical times, to the fall of the Iron Curtain and the eventual separation from Czechoslovakia in the latter part of the 20th Century. Today, the Czech Republic offers us a fantastic opportunity to get under the skin of this long and winding history with a visit to the capital city, Prague.

Prague has seen a massive boom in popularity in the past 20 years and today is one of Europe’s top tourist destinations. The varied and powerful, historical architecture of this city is echoed in the city life as well, and whilst it is one of Europe’s most lively cities, it also boasts museums, galleries, river cruises and tours that offer a glimpse into the past of this city and indeed country.
