Welcome to incredible Italy! Upon arrival at Rome International Airport, we will proceed through immigration, collect our luggage and transfer to our hotel in Trevi.
After checking into our hotel, we will enjoy a welcome Solos drink of prosecco accompanied by traditional Italian bruschetta with the hotel’s vey own, homemade Extra Virgin Olive Oil and get to know your fellow travellers.
Today we will enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful, medieval town of Trevi where we learn more about its long and fascinating history. After, we don our aprons and take part in a 2-hour cooking class where we will learn to make traditional Italian meals, which we can tuck into for lunch accompanied with wine.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore Trevi as you wish.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to the Pettino Mountain where we explore a magical secret village and do a gentle guided trek whilst admiring stunning views. Later we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant located inside a traditional mountain rifugio (also known as a mountain cabin) where we will sample a typical Umbrian meal.
Our next stop is the “secret village” of Marcellano where we will see a scene from the nativity Presepe Vivente, the oldest tradition of nativity representation in Umbria!
In the afternoon we will transfer back to our hotel in Trevi.
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is free for you to explore Trevi as you wish. Perhaps explore the medieval streets and artisan shops.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Umbria’s medieval hill town of Montefalco. Known as “the balcony of Umbria” because of its lofty position and views over the fertile plain below, the town keeps itself busy as the center of the Sagrantino wine zone.
Later we will taste 5 different wines accompanied by a light lunch typical to this area.
After breakfast we head to Assisi where we will have all day to explore this beautiful town as you wish.
The most famous and probably most impressive attraction in Assisi is the Basilica of St. Francis. It’s also literally the biggest thing in the area – so grand you can see it for miles around, it’s the jewel in Assisi’s crown.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Rome for our flight home.
Dating all the way back to the 1650s, our historical hotel oozes elegance, antiquity and style. Sitting atop the medieval hilltop town of Trevi, it’s also a short drive from Assisi.
All the hotel rooms have private bathrooms with a bathtub or shower, air-conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, telephone and Wi-Fi.

We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €40 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.

Casual daytime wear is recommended. Comfortable and sturdy shoes are a “must” for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evenings – the emphasis throughout being informality. A waterproof jacket is recommended. On some occasions, when entering places of worship for example, it will be necessary to wear clothing covering one’s shoulders and knees.
