“The British are Coming, The British are Coming!” Yes indeed they are.
Nearly 250 years since Paul Revere’s great rallying we invite you to follow the same Revolutionary footsteps taking in the scenery, the history, the sights and sounds and everything in between where we guarantee you’ll be impressed, astounded and amazed in equal measure.
Our iconic 10 day journey starts in Historic Boston and then follows the Atlantic coast to one of the world’s true Megacities, and all it has to offer, New York. Then moving on to Philadelphia another great city and the seat of the founding fathers and the true birthplace of American Independence before arriving finally at nation’s capital of Washington DC where the challenge is to try and visit even a tiny portion of possibly the greatest and most impressive collection of free museums and monuments in the world.
It’s a trip of several lifetimes rolled into one with each stop along the way worthy of a visit in itself but we will make the very most of the time we have.

Welcome to Boston!
Upon arrival at Boston Airport, we’ll proceed through immigration, collect our luggage and meet our local guide. We then transfer to our hotel.
In the evening we will enjoy a welcome drink and dinner.
After breakfast at our hotel we will set out to explore the heart of Historic Boston, largest city in the grand old state of Massachusetts and heart New England region with all the associated old world charm and evocative colonial history. Our guide tour of the centre will take us along the Freedom Trail, a 2.5 mile path that passes by seventeen locations of significant historical and cultural significance which include Boston Common, Beacon Hill, the Massachusetts State House, the King’s Chapel and burying ground and several other places of interest.
We stop then before Faneuil Hall, known as the “Cradle of Liberty” where we will some free time for lunch.
After breakfast we will have some free time to at the hotel or further explore the city.
We will then meet back at the hotel to check out and take transfer to nearby Plymouth for a visit of Plimoth Plantation, a living museum that shows the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by English colonists, some of whom later became known as Pilgrims.
After our visit we will check in to our hotel.
In the morning after breakfast we set off for the ‘Big Apple’, New York.
Upon arrival in Manhattan we will be taken on a guided tour of Midtown to discover iconic Times Square and its immense, digital billboards. Then we’ll head go down 5th Avenue to visit a number of attractions including Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the imposing Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station.
Then its up all the way as we ascend to the lofty heights of 86th floor observation deck of the newly remodelled Empire State Building where we will be treated to a breath taking 360 degree panoramic view of New York City.
After breakfast at our hotel we will set of to Battery Park located at the very southern tip of Manhattan Island. This is the embarkation point to visit the world famous Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island where more than 12 million immigrants passed through on the way following the American Dream.
After that we return to Manhattan to be taken on a guide walking tour of Wall Street and the Financial District with stops at the Merril Lynch Bull, the 9/11 Memorial, the Occulus and Trinity Church.
We then have free time to explore more of the city or to return to our hotel to relax
This is a free day to explore more of the countless wonders of the New York.
After breakfast we will check out of our hotel and head south to the largest Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the second largest city on the entire Eastern seaboard after only the might New York which we are leaving.
Philadelphia (known just as Philly to its friends) was once the nations capitol (before handing the mantle to Washington DC back in 1800) and the true birthplace of American independence.
When we arrive we will be given a guide tour of some of the most important historical sites in the entire country including the Hall of Independence(exterior) where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States were both signed and the famous Liberty Bell which is easily one of the most evocative symbols of the nation.
Following the tour the rest of the day will be free time to explore the Independence National Historical Park which hosts several other sites of interest related to the Revolution.
In the morning after breakfast we will check out and head down the Atlantic coast again to our final stop to the countries capitol, Washington DC.
When we arrive we will take a guide tour of the centre visiting some of the most well known public buildings in the United States including the White House (exterior), the Supreme Court and the Capitol Building, seat of the U.S. Congress. We will then the head along the wide Mall with its impressive monuments to some of the great presidents of the past including Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
This is a free day to explore more of the nation’s capitol and visit the countree free museums and monuments.
That evening we will all meet for a farewell dinner.
After breakfast we will have most of the day again as free time to explore and shop for souvenirs before transferring to the Washington airport for our overnight flight home.
We stay in comfortable hotels throughout as detailed below (or similar);
Boston Airport to the Doubletree Bayside Hotel is approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Hyatt Place DC Capitol to the Washington Dulles Airport is approximately 50 minutes depending on traffic.
Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay. Bring a waterproof jacket in case of sporadic rain shower.
We suggest a Group Collection to cover guides, transfer drivers, and hotel staff. We recommend USD 5.00 per person per day for the guide and USD 4.00 per person per day for driver.
Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
A full 10-year passport is required, valid for 6 months beyond the intended length of stay.
